The idea behind the Bugaboot Plus Electric was pretty simple: take a classic look, infuse it with the most advanced heating and weather protection technologies, add battery-powered heat-on-demand and conquer the world. We’re still working on the world domination part, but the resulting boot is a true tour-de-force. Waterproof leather and ballistic mesh combine for fantastic fit while the articulated collar enhances freedom of movement without sacrificing protection. The new full-length Techlite shell is super lightweight (almost half as light as previous versions) and is skinned with TPU-coated leather for durability. A triple-shot of Omni-Heat technology delivers unstoppable warmth: 200 grams of insulation gets a boost from the thermal reflective lining while Omni-Heat electric delivers heat-on-demand at the push of a button for those times when body heat just isn’t enough. Built-in rechargeable batteries provide three temperature settings for maximum protection from the cold. On the low setting, heating pads located under the ball of the foot deliver warmth for 4 hours; on high, expect 2 hours of heat where your foot needs it most. A dual compound lug pattern on the rubber outsole is weather sensitive with varying hardness depending on terrain, so you get greater traction in all cold weather conditions.
